At Chozen Foundation, we believe every young mother deserves a safe place to heal, grow and build a bright future for herself and her child.
Through our partnership with Charltan Safe House, we support adolescent mothers who have faced unimaginable beginnings. Many are survivors of rape, abuse and child marriage. Together, we wrap these girls in safety, restore their dignity and give them a genuine chance at a better life.
We need your help to build a permanent, self-sustainable sanctuary these girls can finally call home.
Through the generosity of our supporters, we remove the barriers standing between an adolescent mother and her future.
We provide diapers, baby formula, nutritious food, clothing and medical supplies so young mothers and their infants stay healthy and secure.
We fund school fees, examinations, uniforms and learning supplies for adolescent mothers returning to education.
CHARLTAN SAFE HOUSE RESIDENT
Every safe night, school term and practical skill creates opportunity for two generations at once.
Names and stories are published with consent. Story-specific portraits remain placeholders until written consent is confirmed.
Since 2019, Charltan Safe House has operated from a rented property. Our vision is a permanent, purpose-built home with room to grow, practical training facilities and a clear pathway to independence.

Charltan Organisation is a registered Private Voluntary Organisation with formal safeguarding and legal care arrangements.
Founder and Director Charline Vuta is legally registered as a foster mother to the girls and babies in the Safe House’s care.
Charline received the Gender Champion Award from the Netherlands Embassy in Zimbabwe.
